That sound you heard Friday night around 10:30 pm was the peals of the Victory Bell ringing from the darkness of Jim McCann Stadium. The away game trip against Franklin Heights was a strong performance by both the football Warriors and the Marching Warriors. Maybe it was the Cowboy spirit of the traveling student section or the beautiful sunset sky. But whatever it was, I hope we experience it more this season.
The band put in another great performance at Franklin, even though they had to worry about dodging some extra point kicks here and there.
It was especially fun to watch the kids mix up their instruments in the fourth quarter, with battery members playing familiar songs with unfamiliar drums. And I saw many guard members getting some tutorials on conducting techniques from Eric as well.
